Make a Plan: What Needs to Be Migrated to Kajabi?
Sep 02, 2024So, you’ve decided to move your site to Kajabi! Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, or excited, or a mixture of both. Don’t worry, I’m right here to work through it with you.
Before you start the migration process, it’s important to figure out exactly what needs to be moved. From pages to media files, getting organized will help you ensure nothing is left behind.
Let’s break down how to take stock of your current website.
Make a list of all the things on your current site that you want to migrate. It can be as simple as a Google Doc or written on a piece of paper.
This includes pages, blog posts, images, videos, and any special features or membership areas. Another benefit of making a list: that satisfying feeling of crossing things off of it!
Before you freak out!!
If you have a LOT of content, this might sound like a daunting task. Take it page by page and you’ll get through it. We just want to make sure nothing important gets left behind!
Your list might include these pages: Home, About, Contact, Blog (+ posts), sales page, freebie opt-in, thank you pages, book a call.
Decide what’s most important and should be migrated first. This can help you manage the process more efficiently and help you feel less overwhelmed.
I might start with my core website pages: Home, About, Contact, then branch out into other pages of my site.
By getting organized at the start and making a detailed list, you’ll ensure a smoother migration process and avoid missing any important elements. With everything organized, you’re one step closer to a successful transition!
Happy migrating!
